     DAR  =  Daughters of the American Revolution reading done during the depression. 

     JCJH =  John Conner Jr. Historical Society reading completed 1981-1982. 

     Original DAR reading = this has been transcribed from the handwritten notebooks used by the DAR when they did their cemetery survey.

Liberty Township - Section 26   Township 11 N  Range 2 W Condition - Abandoned  Surrounded by stone fence

Center Township - Section 6  Township 11 N  Range 2 W Fairly Well taken care of - It sits right next to a home and next to the Liberty Country Club

Center Township - Section 13  Township 11 N Range 2 W  Very Well cared for - Active

Union Township  Section 7 Township 10 N  Range 1 W Condition Unknown - Has never been surveyed From Liberty:    Indiana  101   South.     Approximately 3 1/2 miles.    Go past Whitewater state park.   Go through Roseburg.   You will see a cross roads.    Bull  Hill  Road turns right (west).    Contreras   Pike turns left (east).    Turn on Contreras   Pike  (left).    You will enter the village of Billingsville.    At the crossroads turn right (south) on to Liberty   Pike.    Approximately 1/2 mile turn right (west) on Coe Road.   The cemetery was suppose to be on the right (north) side of the road almost 3/4 mile from Liberty Pike

From Liberty: US 27 South until you get to the village of College Corner.   Cross the Rail Road tracks on 27.   When you see the business area turn right (south) on Brookville   Street.      You will pass beside the shopping area.   Cross the Railroad tracks again.   Go past the Methodist church.   College Corner Cemetery is on both sides of the road as you leave College Corner. Park on the right side (West) of the cemetery.    Stand looking south (College Corner behind you).   Look to the South West at a grove of trees.    If you approach the trees from behind and enter you will find the cemetery within that grove.

Not Used Sec 32     R14     T15  Brownsville  Township. Unknown condition.

From Liberty: take  Indiana 44 West.   Turn North (right)    on Brownsville   Road.    Go through Brownsville, continuing on Brownsville Road north easterly.    Approximately 3-3 1/2 out of Brownsville.    The  Brownsville  road intersects Clifton   road.   Turn left (west) on Clifton Road.   Cross the bridge you are going North West.   The road turns sharply to the west.   The John Black cemetery in on the right side of the road somewhere around the turn

Brownsville Twp. - Sec27 R2 T12 - Abandoned

This can not be seen from the road.  You should ask for access, I have been told there are some stones standing.  From Liberty take Indiana 44 West.  Turn North (right) on Brownsville Road.  In Brownsville turn right at the four way stop.  Cross the railroad tracks and turn north (Left) onto Byrd Road.  The road angles about one mile then turns sharply right (east) continue for a little over one mile and the road turns sharply to the south (right) the cemetery is north of this turn.  It is in a field.

Union Township - Sec 9 R1 T10 - Condition Unknown

From Liberty: take US 27 South.  You will pass through Cottage Grove and over a railroad track.  This is approx. 3 miles from Liberty.  After crossing the tracks you will turn right (south) at the next cross roads (Stone Road).  Go PAST Keffer cemetery about 3 1/2 miles until Stone Road crosses Contreras Pike.  Turn right (west) on Contreras.  Go approx. 2 miles turn left (south) on 200 East.  The cemetery is approx. 3/4 of a mile south of this turn and on the left (east) side of the road.  It can not be seen from the road.

Harrison Township - Sec21 R1 T12 - Condition Unknown

From Liberty:  Take Indiana 44 East.  After approximately 1/2 mile turn left (north) on Kitchell Road.  Kitchel road goes North 2 miles then turns right (east).  Go 3/4 mile and turn left (north).  This road goes north 1 1/4 past the Hanna's creek church to a "T".  Turn Left onto West Kitchell road or 350 North.  The cemetery is suppose to be on the right side of the road (north) within 1/2 mile of the turn

Not Used             Sec2        R2       T12 Liberty Township

All of the graves in this cemetery are located within the center of the  cemetery within the raised circle From Court House in Liberty:   Take US 27 North two blocks. Brownsville    Avenue turns west (left)    follow Brownsville avenue this will become Old   Brownsville   Road.     Turn right (north) on the first road that turns right this will be Patterson    Road.   The cemetery will be on the left (west) side of the road.    You will see three large stones that say "Patterson".  There is an iron fence and gate near the road.

Sec 25     R2       T11 Brownsville  Township. Unknown condition.

From Liberty:    US  27  North.   Turn left on Clifton   Road.   At four way stop in Clifton turn south (left) on Patterson   Road.   The road goes south for 1  1/4 then angles south easterly for over 1 mile.    Ring cemetery is on the left hand side of the road prior to the road turning back to a south direction.

Union Township - Sec 3 R 1 T 10 - Condition Unknown

From Liberty:  Take US 27 south.  You will pass through Cottage Grove and over the rail road tracks.  (Approximately 3 miles from Liberty).  After crossing the railroad turn right (south) on Stone Road.  Approximately 1 3/4 mile turn right (west) on Velocipede Road.  The cemetery is on the left (south) side of the road almost 1/2 mile from stone road.

From Liberty:   US 27 South.   You will pass through Cottage Grove and over the rail road tracks.    (Approximately 3 miles from Liberty). After crossing the Railroad turn right (south) on Stone Road. Go past Keffer Cemetery about 3 1/2 miles until Stone Road crosses Contreras  Pike.   Turn right (west) onto Contreras.    Go one mile and turn right (north) onto 300   East.     At the first cross road turn right (east) on Sand Run

Road.   The road jogs around the cemetery, it looks like a small open patch of grass.

This cemetery is in the middle of a field and very hard to access and find.

From Liberty: US 27 South until you get to the village of College Corner.   Cross the Railroad tracks on 27.   When you see the business area turn right (south) on Brookville   Street.    This will be beside a muffler shop.   You will pass beside the shopping area.   Cross the Railroad tracks again.   Go to the Methodist church.   The street the the right (west) is Church  Street.     When you leave College Corner it becomes Velocipede   Road.   Young Cemetery is almost 3/4 mile outside   College Corner on the left (south) side of the road.   It sits right next to the road and there are very few markers on the ground.
