Union County Public Library

Outreach / Homebound Services

The Union County Public library provides books and other materials to residents of Union County who are Homebound and can not come to the library.

These persons may be homebound due to age, illness or disability.*

Temporary Homebound  includes those who have had surgery, "New Mothers" or those who have been in an accident and can not come to the library.

Our "Outreach coordinator" will be happy to put anyone who is need of this service on one of the routes.

Route Patrons are able to check out books, music, audio books, CDs, Videos, DVDs, magazines or anything else the library offers.

To see if you qualify for homebound service:

Contact the library at 458-6227 or print out the Outreach / Homebound  questionnaire (PDF file), fill it out and send it to the Union County Public Library.  Someone will contact you.

Routes are run Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday.

We deliver to the Nursing Home on Wednesday and Southview Courts  on Thursday.  Residents of either facility qualify for delivery.

* Those who "do not have a car" or "just can not make it to the library" do not qualify as homebound.
